We're not here to cheat others and fake the act of sharing with friends. The 8Share community has taken years to build trust with advertisers, who in turn work hard to build your favourite brands and products. They have deep trust in you, as a representative of 8Share, to share good stuff with friends, and to keep it real. This is why we are all paid cash.

Why share it right?

If you share it right, you help build more trust, and we get more Specials and cash. If you try and cheat the system, advertisers won't work with 8Share, and it is game over for you, and everyone else.
If you share it right, you're getting money you truly deserve. If you try and cheat the system, you're stealing other people's money. There's an entire community of genuine sharers who trust you not to steal.
If you share it right, you get to cash out your money to your bank account without worry, just like everyone else. If you even attempt to cheat ONE CLICK, there's a chance the system might suspend your cash out request, ban you forever, and you lose all your money accumulated from your account. Don't do it.

Real sharers share like they always do

When you share good stuff with friends, sometimes you just make a post on your Twitter, blog, or Facebook. Sometimes you tag a few friends, or elaborate why the content in the link is so awesome. We're the social media generation, we know how to share good stuff with friends, and when it comes to 8Share, we share like how we always do.
Real sharers don't trick or beg people to click on stuff

8Share sharers shall never ask others to click on their unique links including using phrases such as "Click this link", "Help me click" or other similar language, or use misleading methods to get clicks, including (but not limited to) using phrases or images which have no co-relation to the content in the link! That's evil.
Real sharers never spam

8Share sharers shall never share links on pages and websites that they do not own. Especially the 8Share Facebook Page, Brand Facebook Pages, Forums, and Job Sites. When you share, you represent 8Share, and 8Share does NOT spam.
Real sharers don't artificially boost Unique Visits (U.V.)

8Share sharers don't click on their own unique links or inflate clicks artificially. This means automated pop up scripts, ‘cleaning cookies', using multiple machines, mutual click rings (I click for you, you click for me groups), pay per click sites and anything outside of how you usually share good stuff with friends is a breach of trust.
Real sharers don't use multiple accounts or false identities on 8Share

8Share sharers only maintain one 8Share account and never attempt to create duplicate accounts. 8Share is a community where real people share good stuff with their friends. Claiming to be another person, creating multiple accounts or falsely representing an organisation breaks this trust and damages everyone in the community.

How can I invite my friend to sign up on 8Share?

I have invited a friend to join 8Share, but why haven't I received
my rewards for it?

This is to ensure that broadcasters introduce 8Share genuinely to their friends, guiding their friends that are new on 8Share, to broadcast Specials. When a friend you invited has earned their first 3 unique visits, your reward will automatically be credited to your 8Share account.

Cash out with 8SHARE

How will I be paid once I've started earning on 8Share?

Once your earnings have reached PhP500, the "Cash Out Now!" button will appear on your Dashboard. Upon clicking on the button, there will be a form that you have to fill up with your bank account details so we can directly deposit your cash into your bank account. The process will be completed within 30 days.

I don't have a bank account, what do I do?

It would be best for you to sign up for one. If not, you can use a family member's. But do know that you can't use the same IC and bank account details as another 8Share member, as it will only result in rejection of your cash out.

What is the maximum amount of money I can request to cash out?

You are allowed to cash out a maximum of PhP3,300 each time.

Why are cash outs rejected?

There are several reasons to why your cash out is rejected:

Your identification number (IC) and/or bank account details are incomplete/incorrect.
Your IC and/or bank account details match another 8Share member's.
The system detects a violation of the 8Share Code Of Honour from your 8Share account, and your account has been suspended.

Why are accounts suspended?

Accounts are suspended for 8Share Code Of Honour violations or spam investigation.

What is Social Good?

You have the power to make the world a better place, do Social Good by helping NGOs, non- profits & grassroots movements spread the word on their social causes through Facebook, Twitter & more!

Can I earn money from sharing Social Good campaigns?

No. But you the satisfaction of making the effort to make the world a better place, yes.

Can I have my cause posted on Social Good?

If it is for a good cause, yes! Just drop us an email at socialgood@8share.com, telling us about your cause, and we'll assist you from there.

Specials with 8SHARE

What is a Special?

A Special is sponsored content that can range from anything like the latest movies to games, events, products and contests which you can get paid to broadcast with your friends.

How do I earn money from sharing a Special?

You will be given a unique URL link for every Special you broadcast - this link is used to track your unique visits. You will be rewarded for your unique visits as long as the Special is still running and its rewards are still available, until you have reached the maximum rewards for a particular Special.

How can I keep track of my earnings?

You can always visit the Specials channel and check your progress on the individual page of the Specials you have shared. Or, you can click on Reward history at the drop-down menu on the top right of your 8Share page to see the latest unique visits you have received, which updates every hour.

You can also go to your Dashboard as a centralised place to check your overall performance and stats of everything you've ever broadcasted on 8Share.

What is a Unique Visit (U.V.)?

A unique visit (U.V.) for members of 8Share Philippines, is a click on a Special link from a unique visitor that comes from within Philippines.

How much do I earn per Unique Visit?

A unique visit via your unique URL gets rewarded the amount stated in the Specials you broadcast.

Clicks will only be counted as a reward if the person who clicked on your link has never seen the Special before.

Example if a friend clicks on the Special link of someone else before clicking on yours, the reward will only go to the first link clicked on. This is called the unique visit.

Why am I not getting rewarded for my unique visits?

Your earnings are updated every hour. If you are not getting any rewards for your visits, it is because:

The visits you received are not unique. (Learn more about Unique Visits)
The Special has completed and all rewards for that specific Special have been given out.
You have gained the maximum amount of reward for the specific Special you broadcasted.

Can I share a Special more than once?

Yes, for sure.

Will I still be able to earn money if I share a Special that is "Completed"?

No, but you can broadcast them anyway - your friends will be delighted to be in the know of such cool stuff!

Why is a Special not available to me, but available to my friends?

We strongly believe in genuine sharing, that is why broadcasters get different Specials based on their personal profile. All Specials on 8Share are specially catered according to our broadcasters based on their individual profiles. If you're unable to share a certain Special, it means that Special is not suitable for you. Here's two examples on Specials relevance :

Sanitary napkins will only be appropriate to female broadcasters. If you're a girl, you wouldn't really want a guy to be telling you about sanitary napkins.
An event in the far west of a country are only shared by residents there due to geographical distance.

Why aren't there any Specials for me to broadcast?

The availability of Specials, can be seasonal so there may be times you might have less or none, but on other times you might get more than normal. We are always doing our best to get more Specials for you guys, so it would be best to frequently check the site for updates.

Profile & Account Settings with 8SHARE

How do I upload or update my profile photo?

Sign in to http://8share.com/ph
Click on your photo/avatar at the top right of the website.
Click on the Preferences button on the drop-down menu.
At the Profile Image section, click Choose File button below your profile image.
Select a file to upload as your avatar. We suggest that you upload a recent one of yourself so people can recognise you better! Your image can be up to 3MB in any of the following formats: JPG, GIF, or PNG.
After selecting the file, click 'Save my preferences' at the bottom of the page.

Update your personal details such as Full Name (you can choose to hide your name from other users by unchecking the ‘Show my full name on my profile' box), About Me, and Phone Number.

How do I change my password?

Sign in to http://8share.com/ph
Click on your photo/avatar at the top right of the website.
Click on the Preferences button on the drop-down menu.
At the Change Password section, type your new password in the Password field and another time at the Confirm Password field to confirm it.
Click 'Save my preferences' at the bottom of the page.

Why can't I change my e-mail and profile details?

This is to ensure the security of your details as it is important for you to be able to receive Specials that are suitable for you to broadcast. You are not given the access to change your date of birth, gender, phone number and email. If you wish to do so, email your details to helpdesk@8share.com for further verification.

Can I change my username?

You cannot change your username.

What happens if I don't complete my profile details?

You will still receive Specials to broadcast, however you may not receive every Special that's supposedly meant for you.

How do I deactivate my account?

If you wish to permanently deactivate your account please contact the administrator by dropping an email to helpdesk@8share.com. Please provide a reason why you want to deactivate your account. By deactivating, you will not be able to log-in to your account, but all your historical data will be stored.

Note: Once your account is deactivated – there is no way back.

Rewards with 8SHARE

On 8Share, we reward you for contributing to the news and sharing it!

We give out rewards in three main ways:

Get paid in cash
Every month, we cash out earnings to users for broadcasting Specials by transferring cash to your bank account.
Earn Contribution Points (CPs)
Every day, you earn Contribution Points by participating in 8Share activities.
Prizes and giveaways
From time to time, we have different prizes to award you when you participate in contests. So far, we have given away laptops, iPods, cameras, concert and cinema tickets, product vouchers, and even a car.

Contribution Points (CP)

What is a CP?

CP stands for Contribution Points. It shows how much you've contributed to the social sharing environment. People who have high CPs are people who are active members of 8Share and are influential broadcasters.

When will I receive CPs?

You will receive

1 CP for every Special you broadcast
5 CPs per unique visit when broadcasting Causes/Social Good campaigns
10 CPs for every profile update (profile URL, photo, about me, etc.)

Do CPs have monetary value?

CPs do not have monetary value. They are not exchangeable for cash.
