- How do I know which plan is best for me?
PowerSurf TIME is best used by subscribers who go in and out of the web. Moreover, it is beneficial for subscribers in easily tracking their usage because it is time-bound.

PowerSurf MB will be most beneficial to subscribers who want to stay connected all the time with regular notifications or updates from their favorite apps real time. These updates usually consume very minimal internet data or KB, which allows them to stay connected over long durations. Now, all you need is to find the best apps for your phones and start sending IMs (instant messaging like Yahoo Messenger), get Facebook or Twitter updates, and more!

- Am I automatically charged when I register to POWERSURF?
Upon subscribing to POWERSURF15, POWERSURF30, and POWERSURF50, you are not automatically registered and charged yet. Instead, you will receive a message where you can choose to subscribe to TIME or MB. The message includes an instructed keyword for any of the choices.

- Why am I being deducted by KB if I am subscribed to PowerSurf MB?
1 MB is approximately equivalent to 1000 KB. To maximize your total MB on PowerSurf, we deduct by KB so you do not forfeit a full MB if you have only used up a portion of it. It is like how we deduct in minutes for 1 hour of internet for PowerSurf15 TIME.

- Can I also go in and out of the web if I am on MB plan?
Yes, you can also browse or go in and out of the web as you wish even if you are on MB plan. To check remaining MBs or KBs, simply text PSURFMB STATUS to 8888.

- Who can avail of this promo?
All Globe Prepaid and TM subscribers can avail of this promo.

- I am a Postpaid subscriber with SuperSurf. Can I register to this service?
No, you have to unsubscribe from your existing data plan/promo before you can register to any other Mobile Internet promo. Once unsubscribed, you may avail of the Globe Postpaid PowerSurf. It also gives you bulk megabytes (MB) of mobile data, which is consumable per kilobyte (KB) and valid for 30 days. It allows you to always be ON, so you can enjoy push notifications and instant updates on your phone.

- How is my internet allocation used up for the sites I visit?
PowerSurf TIME consumes internet minutes from the time you connect to the internet up until you have disconnected. Your internet minutes will continue to be used up by the minute until you close your browser or turn off all applications, even those running in the background. We recommend that you constantly check your remaining internet minutes by texting POWERSURF STATUS to 8888.

If you are subscribed to PowerSurf MB, your PowerSurf MB will only be used up or deducted with the total number of KB loaded for each page, regardless of how long you stay on the website. Total amount of KB may vary depending on the site you are visiting and the phone you are using. We recommend that you constantly check your remaining KB or MB of internet by texting PSURFMB STATUS to 8888.

- What is the difference between PowerSurf TIME and PowerSurf MB? Which one is better for me?
PowerSurf TIME allows time-based browsing, which means you are charged based on the duration of your connectivity.

PowerSurf MB promotes KB-based browsing, which means you can stay connected and only charged once you send or receive data.

PowerSurf TIME charges by the minute while PowerSurf MB charges by KB consumption.

- When should I subscribe to PowerSurf TIME and when should I opt for PowerSurf MB?
PowerSurf TIME is best used when subscribers are the type who constantly goes in and out of the web. Subscribers may find this easier to track usage since it is time-based. Subscribers may also check remaining minutes by texting POWERSURF STATUS to 8888.

PowerSurf MB will be most beneficial for subscribers who want to stay connected over long durations without having to upload or download massive internet data, as in applications that are "always connected." Example will be some Facebook or Twitter applications or "apps" which connect to the internet every so often to update feeds, e.g. status of friends, news, weather, or sports updates, etc. These "updates" or checks usually consume very minimal data or KB but are triggered more frequently to keep users updated almost real time.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Different applications or apps are built differently and may not exhibit the same use of data or KB. Check with your application provider (or their help line/customer service) to verify expected data usage for specific applications.

- How do I know how much MB or KB I consume in sending one email/one Tweet/ one Facebook status?
Data usage or how much kilobytes you use greatly depends on your phone. Smartphones like the iPhone or Galaxy S2 are known to use up more data compared to feature phones like regular Nokia phones. This is also due to the mobile internet experience being delivered on your phone. Usually, the more sophisticated the experience, the heavier its data usage.

To understand KB consumption of various online activities, you may refer to this table:

Online Activity KB Consumption
One pure text email sent Approximately 20 KB
One page of Facebook (with address http://m.facebook.com) Approximately 25 KB
One pure text tweet sent Approximately 30 KB
One page of a Google search result Approximately 40 KB
One-minute YouTube video viewed Approximately 2 MB

Note that 1 MB is equal to 1,024 KB. With PowerSurf 99, you can enjoy 1,250 Google Searches or 25 one-minute videos.

- How do I know which PowerSurf MB plan is best for me?
You can refer to the table below to identify the plan that suits you best based on your most frequently visited sites.
